What Players Say!

“Cthulhu in a Castle is a highly immersive and thoroughly enjoyable luxury TTRPG experience. They have thought of nearly everything, from GMs, Discord, character creation, and on-site assistance and tours of the beautiful venue to catering and much more! I would recommend anyone who can squeeze this into their schedule to do so; I had an absolute blast!”
— Austin
“Go with like-minded friends ready to spend most of the day on the campaign if you can, but even if you go alone, you'll likely meet new people just as excited about playing as you are!”
— Kevin
“Our GM (Keeper) was stellar, both entertaining and deft at managing the pacing and engagement in the game. It was fun that most players and the Keeper did a bit of cosplay too. The event really had this 60-year-old man feel like he was reliving the glory days of teenage RPG games with his friends.”
— Bradley
“Thank you for putting these events together. I can't express how meaningful they are to me. It's so much more than playing a game. It's an opportunity to make new friends and meet up with old ones. This was my third event, and each of them has been such an amazing experience. You and your team do a great job hosting. Thank you! Keep up the great work!
— John

Escape the Ordinary. Embrace the Unreal.

  • Players and a game master running an immersive tabletop RPG session in a castle setting, similar to Dungeons & Dragons, Pathfinder, and Call of Cthulhu.

An RPG Vacation, Not a Convention

Keepers guide you through a complete investigation over three days of cosmic horror—a real getaway into dread, not a folding-table weekend.

  • Interior of a historic church or cathedral with stained glass windows, stone walls, and wooden furnishings, including tables and sculptures.

    Atmosphere You Can Feel

Play under real stone arches, in low lantern light, with sounds you can't quite place and a building that seems to breathe around you. Everything's designed to warp reality just enough.

  • A Full Investigation in One Weekend

A complete scenario, first clue to final horror. No cancellations, no distractions — just being fully present with friends, old and new, to see it through. If you dare.

  • Buffet table with water bottles, soda cans, and snacks in a stone hall decorated with paintings, sculptures, and set up for a gathering or event.

    We Handle Everything

Meals, lodging, unlimited snacks and drinks, event prep, and more — all included, so the only thing on your mind is the mystery.

  • A cosplayer adventure party having fun exploring a historic castle tower.

    Your Circle, Your Way

Book a private table for your group, or join a mixed party and face the dark with new allies. Couples, crews, and solo investigators all welcome—no one should meet the unknown alone.

Many Scenarios to Choose From

One Epic Investigation All Weekend!

The Castle & Palace

“The setting was truly inspiring for the gameplay. Our GM was amazing, engaging, and uplifting. It may have been our group, but I can certainly see playing with all our party members in the future!”

- Scott

“It is an amazing venue. Big enough that you get to meet people from all over (my gaming table had people from 7 different states), but small enough that you don't get lost or feel overwhelmed.”

- Michael

Glencairn — The Castle
Glencairn is the real thing: a stone castle of great halls, gothic arches, stained glass, and shadows that pool in the corners no matter how many lamps are lit. Roll the dice beneath a vaulted ceiling as the building settles and creaks, and the line between the game and the place around you starts to blur. Some settings host a horror story. This one feels like it's already had a few of its own.

Cairnwood — The Palace
Cairnwood is a Gilded Age mansion of opulent rooms, sweeping staircases, and candlelit halls—beautiful in a way that never quite puts you at ease. Grand houses keep their secrets, and this one makes the perfect stage for a slow-burning dread: elegant, hushed, and just a little too quiet after dark. You don't investigate a place like this. For one weekend, it investigates you.

Partnership with the H.P. Lovecraft Historical Society

We are proud to feature immersive gaming materials from the H.P. Lovecraft Historical Society (HPLHS), one of the most respected creators of Call of Cthulhu props and period artifacts worldwide. Their meticulously crafted prop collections bring scenarios to life with authentic documents, maps, letters, and handouts designed to feel as though they’ve stepped straight out of the 1920s.

At Cthulhu in a Castle, select tables will experience enhanced atmosphere using HPLHS materials, deepening the sense of mystery, investigation, and cosmic dread throughout the weekend.

We encourage all investigators to explore their incredible catalog of games, props, films, and Lovecraftian treasures at hplhs.org and their official store. If you love immersive horror storytelling, their creations belong in your collection.
